I restarted my computer after doing each tutorial. (This allows you to save space on the physical device you are signing onto. Regarding the third tutorial, when I select which icons appear on the taskbar, the only one related to OneDrive is "OneDrive.exe" with the caption "OneDrive Closing." I set the button to "On" but it's still not showing in the taskbar. Download and run the OneDriveSetup.exe file from your desktop. (Incidentally, evenĪfter enabling "view all folders," there's still not a OneDrive.exe file in my C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive folder, so I can't run the file to show the icon.) I don't have the icon in my taskbar notification area and when I open the app from the Start menu, I don't have a similar setting menu with the option to start OneDrive when I start Windows. I did do something to the registry files before, I think, so we're getting closer but still not there yet.
